Illegal Mexicans? What are the pros?

Here are a few cons:

They fill jobs at minimum wage. Many people think this is good for the economy. Although it may be good for the price of fast-food or the price of lettuce, these illegals are the reason the minimum wage is still $5. How is this good for hard working citizens?

They drain our tax dollars; section 8 housing, welfare, food stamps, free medical care (especially free childbirth at American hospitals). Now think of the enormous cost of their 5 children.. public schools, free lunch programs, their medical. In fact children of illegals automatically qualify for free dental care until age 18 because their family of 7 is headed by a dude that only earns 5 bucks an hour.

Illegal Mexicans? What are the pros?
I was going to respond with the shortsightedness of your question and point out who federal entitlement programs have created a class of people who choose not t work. Capitalism requires a minimum of 5% unemployment to function. With an unemployment rate of 4.7% nationally and entitlements keeping anouther 2% at home that creates instability and SOME illegal aliens are providing a service by taking those jobs nobody else wants. Plus many illegals have legitimate jobs, such as McDonalds where they pay payroll taxes but don't get any benefits since they don't qualify for unemployment or social security. Plus they keep the economy afloat by purchasing items and paying sales tax on them, they are not exempt from sales tax.

But then I saw you raised the lettuce issue... almost all produce is picked by legal migrant farmwaorkers, not illegals.

Then considering illegals don't qualify for section 8, food stamps, or free medical care (except emergency room visits and child birth) unless your state has programs designed to cover those issues, I realized you were just making things up to "prove" your case.

But the ultimate was when you said "and their 5 children" and "their family of 7"... that sunk your whole argument since you just proved yourself to be a prejudiced hater who is casting false generalizations.

So besides being racist, you are wrong on almost every single thing you said. The cost of public schools and emergency rooms are more than offset by the tax benefits and stimulation to the economy MOST illegals serve. For me to insinuate every illegal is contributing more than they take would be as wrong as the nonsense you spouted. However you are far too closed minded to bother informing you of the reality of the situation.

Reply:I agree..like you said, people say that they fill minimum wage jobs and that's true. BUT, who is to say that if these people weren't here, that those jobs wouldn't be filled by legal citizens? I mean, I've never gone to McDonald's and there not been employees....and I'm talking talking about over 20 years ago before all these illegals got here. This country would in fact function without them. It has for over 200 years.
Reply:Well if our gov would take all the ppl in america that is on WELFAIR and place them in those jobs so they would still be feeled, And they would try to keep their jobs and do good. That would solve 2 problems now wouldnt it.Because those jobs will not be feeled with out atleast some of those mexicans. And small family owned buisnesses in south TX cant affored to pay to much over minimum wage. Americans think they are to good for that.Dont get me wrong I think I am to good also but there again, I'm not moochin either.
Reply:There are no Pro's!!!! Illegal is Illegal is Illegal. And that goes for ANY Illegal immigrant.

There are many pro's to legal Immigrant's.They started this country, helped build it and keep it going.Without them most of us would not be living here.
Reply:#1 watch it there buddy my lawn looks great...hee hee and it makes me mad to think we americans dont get any kind of help what so ever if we need assistance my daughter has autism and was denied medicaid 3 times before they gave it to me and my grandfather was in the marines for 20years and was in a war and the woman who told me i could not get benefits was mexican i had this to say to her mam you better call security cause im about to go off ..after talking with a supervisor i got the insurance for my daughter and an apology.some country they need to help our own first.
Reply:How do you tell a legal one from an illegal one?

What if the person you are trying to determine the status of is a Tohono O'odom native American who doesn't know which side of the border she was born on -- the tribe crosses the frontier?

If she were a First Canadian, she'd have Jay Treaty (1794) rights to live and work in the USA with no visa of any kind.

Actually, in the early 20th Century and almost until 1960 people lived near the border and crossed at will without papers. Many are American citizens by law, only they can't prove it. And then there are some, born in Mexico, who went to school and even university in the USA and married and had kids . . . but have no papers.

Like the other girl said, you are wrong and a racist!
Reply:I have listened to ALL the pros and cons, and have made observations, and this is my opinion... You cannot blame any man for wanting a better life for their family, but there are rules in place for the protection of all. When you come here illegally, and demand rights, without considering assimilating yourself into the society you have chosen, that is just not acceptable. You want to live here, become an American, do not simply move your old neighborhood into my town.... Now, the most important observation I have made, is that business here WANTS, yes, WANTS, them to be here. Cheap labor pool for them, but it makes it tough for lower income folks, students, summer labor and otherwise. If the laws provided stiff enough penalties, illegal workers would either get legal or go home. I do not mean the usual papers inspection they( the employer ) pretend to do, I mean verification from a government source that the paperwork they are seeing is genuine. Illegal paperwork ( licenses, greencards, etc.. ) is available EVERYWHERE, and everybody knows it... WHY, do you suppose, when that fact is common knowledge, do we still have the problems ??? I believe the answer is greed, we have it, south of the border folks know it, and we take advantage of each other...and they also realize that, if caught, the penalty is a free trip home... Not to mention that where I live, if a policeman stops someone, and discovers they are illegals, they are set free, it is not their job to detain illegals... In conclusion, I believe that WE, not them, are creating our own problem... Our biggest enemy we have to face is our own greed, whether at the local level or otherwise. I consider myself a patriot, I love my country and really believe it is the greatest place to live, HOWEVER, I have reservations about the sincerety of big business and government. They could easily stem this problem, but for some reason, choose to let it continue...??!!??
Reply:To start with if you are from Mexico, Iraq or Canada and did not come through customs you are in this country as an illegal. That in itself is breaking the law. That like it or not makes you a criminal.

In the type of work I do I deal with ID theft on a daily basis, and the truth of the matter is only about 10% of the ID theft I deal with is committed by a legal US Citizen, the rest is committed by undocumented aliens, and not the ones from outer-space.That is EXACTLY how they get section 8, medical, free school lunches and food stamps, by way of ID theft. When and if they get caught they are under another name and long gone.

As for your remarks about receiving free governmental benefits I can also honestly say that I have seen as many as 4 EBT (benefit cards) in 1 persons possession under different names, again ID theft. Those belonged to a young lady who after serving her time will be deported back to her country of origin, Mexico

I however do not feel they are the reason that the minimum wage is what? 5 something a hour? That my fried is our government at work. They can vote themselves at 20% pay raise, but screw they guy/girl that has to work at a fast food joint one shift and a 7-11 another shift to keep their family off of the welfare wagon.

In Colorado they are starting to put a stop to the folks who are in this state illegally. Now in order to go to the Jefferson County food bank they can no longer go in and say I have 20 people in my family, feed us They have to have a Photo ID, and a Social Security Card with the same name on it. Of course it goes without saying that they (they people who were screwing the system) threw a total fit over that, discrimination they cried. However, it was a rule put into place to keep 3 people in a house from claiming 20. They simply wanted proof that the Jones had the 20 people they claimed. What better way to do it than with ID and a Social Security card? And if it is a child with no ID a simple Birth Certificate and Social Security card was proof enough. It was not the people from here that were screaming discrimination, it was in fact the Aliens, again not of ET origin. If you are doing nothing wrong, you have nothing to hide right?

Why do you think housing is running short? Because there are so many undocumented people here that will not be counted by the Census out of fear they will be deported. There are a lot of drawback for them being here. I can understand wanting a better life for yourself and your family, but if I loaded my clan up and took them to Italy, I would make damn good and sure that we had the decency to speak the language and not act like at total idiot when they did not speak English. I thought that was a bit to far wanting to make it mandatory to teach the kids Spanish in our school systems. This is America. The language spoken here is English. Learn it.

I totally feel where you are coming from. I deal with it everyday. But the only way things will ever change is when we the US Citizens stand up and say enough is enough. Until that day be prepared to keep repeating your order at Burger King until they understand it or until you learn spanish.
Reply:Ultimately there aren't any for the good of the Unisted States if it continues as it is.

he Invasion

* Each month, the Border Patrol apprehends more illegal aliens breaking into our country – roughly 150,000 – than the entire number of troops we have in Iraq.

* Between 10 and 20 percent of all Mexicans, Central Americans and Caribbean people have already moved into the United States.

* There are 36 million immigrants in the United States, and as many illegal aliens, 12 million, as all the English, Irish and Jewish immigrants who ever came to America over 400 years.

* One in 12 people entering the U.S. illegally has a criminal record.

* By 2050, there will be more than 100 million Hispanics concentrated in a Southwest most Mexicans believe was stolen by the United States and belongs to Mexico.

* Mara Salvatrucha, MS-13, the most vicious gang in the Western Hemisphere, now has 6,000 members in the D.C. area.

* Diseases once stamped out in America, like drug-resistant TB, syphilis, and leprosy, and others that have never appeared here, like Chagas disease and dengue fever, are surfacing in city after city.

* In Los Angeles, 95% of all warrants for homicide, 1200 to 1500, target illegal aliens.

* Poverty rates are soaring in Southern California as taxpayers flee over the mountains and illegal aliens pour in by the hundreds of thousands each year.

What Will America Look Like in 2050?

* By 2050, every major U.S. city will look like Los Angeles, and Los Angeles will look like Mexico City.

* White Americans, already a minority in California, New Mexico and Texas, will be an aging, shrinking minority in the United States. America will become a Third World country.

* Instead of “one nation, one people,” America will have become two nations, divided by race and class, what Theodore Roosevelt warned against: a multicultural, multi-ethnic, multi-lingual Tower of Babel, a “polyglot boarding house” for the world.

* Texas, California and the Southwest will be so Hispanicized they will be more a part of Mexico than the United States.

* The Republican Party will have been drowned in minority votes, and will have become America’s permanent minority party.

* There will be a vast increase in federal power to enforce social and economic equality among rival and unequal ethnic and racial groups.

* President Bush’s legacy may be to have lost forever a Southwest President James K. Polk won for the United States.

What Explains America’s Paralysis?

* The Republican Party is in the grip of a cult called “Economism.” It is all about money. The GOP worships at the “Church of GDP.”

* Both parties are paralyzed by guilt over America’s racial sins, and lack the will and fortitude of previous generations to do what is necessary to defend the nation from the Third World invasion

* Powerful Mexican and U.S. elites seek to erase the border entirely and merge the United States and Mexico into a “North American Union.”

* Fear of ethnic lobbies and of being called “xenophobes” and “racists” causes politicians to remain silent as textbooks for Mexican-American kids teach the Mexican-American War from the Santa Anna point of view.

Myths, Truths %26amp; Realities

* Washington, Franklin, Madison, Hamilton, Teddy Roosevelt, Wilson, FDR and JFK wanted only immigrants who could be assimilated.

* It is a myth, dating to the 1930s, that Lady Liberty in New York harbor, was set up to advertise America as “Mother of Exiles”

* Until 1965, immigration was almost 100% from Europe; which is how Truman and John F. Kennedy wanted it.

* Civil rights leaders Booker T. Washington and A. Philip Randolph and the Father of the American Labor movement, Sam Gompers, all wanted immigration severely restricted.

* Eisenhower launched “Operation *******” and expelled perhaps a million illegal aliens to Mexico, halting illegal immigration in its tracks.

* Cesar Chavez was an early Minuteman who considered Mexican illegal aliens scabs and strikebreakers brought in by agribusiness to kill his farm workers union.

* Teddy Kennedy, floor manager of the Immigration Act of 1965, promised us America would not be flooded by Third World immigrants, which is exactly what happened.

* Sam Ervin, liberal hero of the Watergate Committee, wanted to preserve the European origins of the United States in immigration law.

Can the Invasion Be Rolled Back?

In his final chapter, “Last Chance,” Buchanan lays out a national plan to deal with the State of Emergency, before it makes an end of America.

* A ten-year moratorium on all legal immigration, at the level JFK favored in 1958 – between 150,000 and 250,000 a year.

* A 2000-mile double-line security fence between the United States and Mexico, built with no apologies to Mexico City.

* A federally legislated end to all social welfare benefits for illegal aliens, except for emergency medical services.

* A crackdown on major businesses that chronically hire illegal aliens and the elimination of deductibility for all wages paid to illegals.

* A U.S. law to restate the true meaning of the 14th Amendment, and denial of automatic citizenship to “anchor babies” born to illegal aliens.

* A halt to the scandal of “chain migration” by allowing immigrants to bring in only wives and non-adult children. Everyone else gets in line.

* An end to “dual citizenship” in the United States, and a revival of true patriotism.

* An Eisenhower-type deportation program beginning with all aliens convicted of felonies and every gang member who is not a citizen of the United States.
Reply:I've been thinking %26amp; thinking.

And Still I can find no answer.

Conclusion: This is no positive of having illegal Mexicans.
Reply:I've been sitting here trying to figure out ANY pro for illegals of any kind. For the life of me, I cannot think of one. I can only think on cons.
