Work abroad.?

I live in the US and I'm studying dental hygiene which is a job I can do almost anywhere. I think it would be cool to work in another country. I met someone who said England would be a good place to go because theres a shortage of hygienists plus the pay is higher than in the US. Australia is another place I think would be cool to go. My accent would give away I'm from the US though and it would be a bad idea to go live there if they dislike Americans. My question to anyone from England or Australia is what do they think of Americans? Would you not like it an American was working in your denists office?

Work abroad.?
people dont judge u by your passport ..u ve to be a nice person to be liked! mostly what ive seen is that its just the governments that ve problem with other nations people dont ve problems..so choose where ever u want to work..btw uk market is saturated already go for australia
Reply:I'm an American and I worked in England and found that the English generally liked Americans. My experience abroad is that most people generally decide if they like someone on a case-by-case basis, much like here at home.
Reply:couldnt care less. You'll be there to look at my teeth not discuss politics. Im English btw
Reply:You would have no problem in England or Australia - if you are a nice person then people will accept you for what you are. Accents don't really come into it.
Reply:People abroad don't care where you are from in most places they judge on an individual basis. Allot speak English. Good luck it is a great experience to live in a different country.
Reply:If your a d*ck head then it doesn't matter where your from, you will be disliked. If your genuine you will make friends.

If your good at your job whichever country gets you will be grateful.
Reply:My son and daughter work for a major American Company, here in Britain. My daughter is responsible for the smooth transit of Americans into and out of the country. She also arranges their accommodation (short and long term) and, in some cases a recreation program for them.

In the years she has been doing this, she has received no negative comments, or experiences.

Their colleagues (mostly Midwesterners) integrate very easily into our local social scene. Their professionalism is appreciated by all their business contacts.

There is a significant American Expat Community in the UK, which is contactable through:
