How can this be?

I don't know if you watched Channel (FOX) 13 News last night, but they did an investigation on dollar stores (including Dollar Tree, Greenbacks %26amp; 99 Cents). They discovered the Crest, Colgate and other brand name toothpastes weren't the same as from Wal-mart, grocery stores etc. The toothpastes were manufactured in many other countries and are not approved by the American Dental Association (ADA). There was even some from South Africa and the fluoride is ten times stronger than what we're allowed in the U.S. (prescription strength). They're allowed stronger because they don't have fluoridated water (like we do). So if we (or our kids) use it often and occasionally swallow it, we could be poisoning ourselves. The dollar stores declined to comment and a full investigation has begun. So stick to paying full-price at the grocery store and send this e-mail to anyone who shops at dollar stores.

How can this be?
I go to dollar stores just to see what kind of bargains they have...and have often gotten toothpaste there. Last time I went to dentist...about a month ago...I was told I brush my teeth too hard...which I really don't....I bet you my problem is....the toothpaste...I wonder if there are other products to be careful about....YiKeS!!!
Reply:You get what you paid for.
Reply:I believe we all have to be careful in what we purchase and where we purchase it.
Reply:Woah, I didn't see that. I'm shocked the ADA and FDA would allow this to happen. Did you check either of their websites to see if anything is posted in regards to this? I'm glad you told me (us). I'll have to check it out...
Reply:duh!!!! what do you expect, almost everything from the dollar sore is cheap of fake namebrand!
