Is health care free in Saudi Arabia?

I think it is for Saudi citizens. So my Saudi husband and kids would get free healthcare right? Would I also if I am married to a Saudi (I'm American citizen)?

What about dental?

Is health care free in Saudi Arabia?
I think you would still be covered. As long as you have a proof of residence in Saudi. Everything is free. They seem to have a great health care system. They'll give you plastic surgery even for free, I couldn't believe that when my friend told me. Salam Sister !!
Reply:I am not sure but for the dental part it is not free even for Saudis.
Reply:Theres no fixed rules (except on paper ) but generally yes theres supposed to be free healthcare for all Saudis. The appointments you get are so far down the road I wouldnt depend on the free care.

I know a guy who had an "order" from people in top positions in the government to be able to go to a certain hospital and do surgery there. He did but didnt get any attention because all the doctors were busy seperating newborn twins from Africa or Eastern Europe or wherever, getting attention in newspapers etc so thats all they really cared about.

Private hospitals, some are pure businesses. Others are okay and of high quality but kinda expensive. Just get health insurance.

( Some say the current forms of it are haram, others say no its not, I am totally convinced by the arguements of those who hold the second opinion, two of them top Saudi scholars)

Many places offer the employee health insurance anyway for him and his wife/husband and first degree relatives.
Reply:yes its free for you since you are married to a saudi

dental is not free, but there are good dentists around..

if you are coming to the city of Khobar/Dhahran.. look up MDC

modern dental center downtown KHobar (ask your husband, he will know if he's from this area).. its where most the americans (and I and my kids) go to.. very modern and prices are reasonable...
Reply:Yes, all FREE to Saudi citizens. I'm not sure about your situation.
Reply:as it said and written on paper yes .

and to be honest the free services are truly got low quality .
Reply:I think your husband would have to pay for you since your not a Saudi citizen. At least that is what mine told me anyway. But since his kids are Saudi they will get free medical care and free education.
