Is it true that lesbians hate straight men?

I worked in a dental office as dental assistant before I entered Dental school. I had few accidents with women who were lesbians. First time one of my patients(Caucasian) told my doctor that she doesn't feel comfortable with male assistant and she didn't want me to stay next to her, Second time one of our patients(African-American) told me that she doesn't like men and doesn't understand them because they are crazy..I asked her, why did she think that way. She answered me that I am weird beacuse I asked her that question.

The dentist who I worked with is gay, too. He was surprised about these women.

Both of these women are lesbians. They told my co-worker who is woman.

Afterwards, I changed my opinion about gay people( to not posistive). I started to think that maybe the problem is not onlly with straight people, but gays too. Isn't that hate and discrimination?

Try to prove that i am wrong or agree with me.

Thank you.

Is it true that lesbians hate straight men?
Your experiences indicate that you have met two rude and/or narrow-minded people, nothing more. To extrapolate that to encompass all lesbians is quite a stretch.
Reply:No, My best friends are a couple (lesbians), and have many straight, guy friends.

Generalizing from two people is almost always gonna give you screwy conclusions.

The only straight guys I've seen a tendency for Lesbians to dislike is transmen (Transsexuals who transitioned from women to men), and I've also seen a tendency for Gay guys to dislike transwomen (ts who's transitioned man -%26gt; woman).
Reply:i dont think so
Reply:ummmm no! they have no reason just to hate straight men! im not a lez but y should they.......... btw i like straight men!

lol KIZZ
Reply:No, that isn't a fact, only a statement.
Reply:no im a lesbian and i dont hate straight guys i just hate when straight guys try and hit on me whenever they know im a lesbian
Reply:I would not say ALL. There are many who are man haters. Who can blame them though. They just don't have a need for us. Even when they try to get pregnant, they get a gay man to donate for them.
Reply:My best friend is a black lesbian and she has more straight male friends than female friends, actually, I'm her only female friend.

I don't know why those two women behaved as they did. Although I do find it odd that they just out and told some strange woman (your co-worker) that they were lesbians. My friend usually doesn't go around blasting that.

I guess there are jerks to every group of people. It doesn't reflect the entire group of people.
Reply:My guy works with a lesbian and he said she is just like one of the guys.

Not all lesbian's are man-haters, the same way not all gay men are women-haters, the same way not all straight men and women aren't homophobes.

Your experience hasn't been positive thus far but, just keep an opened mind because, everybody's different.
Reply:I work in a male dominated field. The lesbians that work with us actually seem to treat the straight men more respectfully as a group than do the straight women.

There will always be people of hate in the world. The fact that they are lesbians hating straight men is nothing spectacular. Hate usually is more a reflection of how someone feels about themselves.

I wouldn't judge homosexuals based on these two people. I think homosexuality is wrong and I think hate is wrong. But, we are all people and deserve to be treated with respect and dignity.
Reply:I would say lesbo's don't like men period that is why they turned to another female for their needs and wants.
Reply:I'm sure that there are some lesbians that hate straight men. But there are also straight women who hate straight men. It just depends on the individual's personality and experiences and everything.

The first patient you mentioned didn't say she hated straight men, she said that she didn't feel comfortable around a male assistant. Maybe she had a bad experience with a male assistant in the past (maybe he made fun of her sexual orientation, maybe he hurt her while cleaning her teeth, etc.), or with a male in general in the past (maybe she was robbed or raped or attacked).

The second woman you mentioned said that men are crazy, and that's why she didn't like them. I know a lot of people who would say things like that ("Men are crazy. I don't understand them."), but also a lot of people who say those things about women ("Women are crazy. I don't understand them.") It seems like she was just making a little joke that you didn't get.

It is absolutely wrong to say that all lesbians hate men.

You shouldn't have a bad opinion about gay people based on a couple bad experiences. I've never had a bad experience with a gay person. Maybe you're doing something to make them upset or mad.
Reply:I had to do security at a gay bar because their was a lot of what they call gay bashing any i met a couple of bisexual women both were drop dead gorgeous and we had are selves one hell of a three some so no it's not true that they hate straight men.
Reply:I don't think so. Maybe they're not comfortable with men touching them in the mouth. Lots of lesbians can say they like men and are friends with men. I have a cousin who is a lesbian and her girlfriend is bisexual and has kids but she don't like one of her girlfriend's babydaddies but gets along with the other and my cousin heard him say he still loves her girl.
