Why do Americans get so wound up about the Great Disappointment of England?

As an American who is an icon of the business world, and on the verge of selling off a placebo of a company to a rather gullible Brit, I would like to ask the above.

It is of great concern to me that anobody in the US get wound up at all by british "royalty." This is the only link that brits have with their once golrious past, but I wonder how it is that they glean any hope that they may rise from their dismal socialist existence. Do Americans pay attention to brit royalty because they may have familiy links? Because they may simply feel sorry for the brits? These may be valid charitable reasons, but think folks, the more you coddle a socialist, the less productive they will get. On the flip side, it makes them feel good, and even more gullible in the negotiations.

So back to my side issue, should I complete the sale of the non-performing dental division to the brits? It would be a tidy little profit for me, and help me get rid of a non-performer.

Why do Americans get so wound up about the Great Disappointment of England?
I do hope you are a satirist... otherwise you really are just... ... odd.... ...
Reply:England is not a great disappointment. You are the type of person who makes America look bad, unless you are a foreigner trying to make America look bad by posing as a rude American.
Reply:A Hereditary problem.
Reply:Put a "Sold" sign on that puppy.
Reply:You should be fair open and honest with everyone. You probably know or you wouldn't be asking.

Revalue the company to a smaller profit margin and walk away with no regrets or refurbish and build the value and then get a greater profit from the improved business. Sounds like you need marketing help.

Whatever we know God is watching you and if he blesses you bless him back.

God Bless!
Reply:WOW! You have avatars on BOTH sides of the Atlantic! That's fairly impressive!

Do you hate the beer over there?

One again we have a desperate attempt to get "brits" and "yanks" to hate each other.

They don't get it, do they? When they use multiple avatars and try to use free speech as a way to hurt us, they're like drops of water in the ocean that just makes us stronger.

It is fun to catch them at it.

I'm wound up. I love England. Love my country more, but I love England! Most of them feel the same (though they think we're a bit on the odd side).
Reply:I disagree with your outlook. Yes, you are entitled to your opinion. Not all Americans are disappointed in England. I, personally, don't even know a person that is. Most Americans, if not all, have a great fondness, admiration, etc. of England.
Reply:Not sure I understand why we would even question what the Brits decide to do in their country ? It is a matter, between their royalty, home office/government and the people. The Brits and Americans have a long history of being partners and global leaders. I do not really understand the nature of your business inquiry. I would think that any matter regarding any sale would be up to the two people/countires that decide to contract and subject to international laws, etc.
