I Bet That You Drink Fluoride Everyday, Do You Know It's Poison?

My Community drinks it.-Some bottlers such as Dannon have begun adding fluoride to their water.

According to a 2002 study,67% of Americans were living in communities with fluoridated water.

Many mistake Fluoridation of water as a dental precaution. Studies show that if Fluoride does not touch your teeth, it will have no effect on your dental health. So why drink Fluoride?

The first occurrence of fluoridated drinking water was in German Nazi prison camps. They found that mass-medicating water with fluoride was a way to "sterilize humans and force them into a into a calm submission.”

"I am appalled at the prospect of using water as a vehicle for drugs. Fluoride is a corrosive poison that will produce serious effects on a long range basis. Any attempt to use water this way is deplorable."

- Dr. Charles Gordon Heyd, Past President of the American Medical Association

I Bet That You Drink Fluoride Everyday, Do You Know It's Poison?
Our school used to make us swish this stuff everyday back in kindergarten.
Reply:cool yet one more thing to kill us better get in line i bet the cancer gets us first...

Reply:Fluoride containing compounds are added to toothpaste, drinking water, prescribed treatments, and other commercially available oral hygiene products because fluoride proponents believe they help strengthen the tooth enamel. Sodium fluoride and sodium monofluorophosphate (MFP, SMFP) are common additives.

Many local water municipalities fluoridate their water supplies by adding fluoride in concentrations of less than 4 ppm. Originally, sodium fluoride was used to fluoridate water; however, hexafluorosilicic acid (H2SiF6) and its salt (Na2SiF6) are more commonly used, especially in the United States.

Fluoride ion has a very significant use in synthetic organic chemistry. The silicon-fluorine chemical bond is quite strong. Silyl ether protecting groups can be easily removed by the addition of fluoride ion. Sodium fluoride or tetra-n-butylammonium fluoride (TBAF) are the most common reagents used.

Low concentrations

Fluoride is best known for its use in small quantities in an attempt to help reduce dental caries (cavity) frequency in teeth. Some studies suggests that fluoridation is associated with a median decline in the number of children with caries of 12.5%, and a median decline of 2.25 teeth with caries.
Reply:really? that's interesting, isn't there also **** in our water? That's what they said on oprah. well neways what are we supposed to drink tho? You need water to live.
Reply:Man........you have way too much time on your hands. Did you grow up in the 70's? You remind me of some of my burnout friends. We had a blast! No, I don't drink it everyday, I have a well, spring fed and tested monthly. But thank you for your worry and fear for our safety.....
Reply:Did you know that water is a poison? In sufficient quantities, it causes saturation of the lining of the lungs, preventing the exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Oh dear, I just remembered - Oxygen is also a poison! In sufficient quantities in the blood stream, it turns the PH of the blood acidic, and causes decay of the linings of the arteries.

I suggest you stop your oxygen intake immediately!
Reply:Its in Australian drinking water too. Along with effluent and god knows what else. The average person has no control over anything,it seems that everything we eat, drink. touch, watch is killing us. Its amazing that there still is a human race.
Reply:We banned it in Mayberry!
Reply:Almost any substance is toxic in large quantities. When i drink water, the water touches my teeth; I don't know why yours doesn't. If fluoridated water sterilizes people why isn't the birth rate significantly lower in areas with fluoride in the water? I haven't noticed an increase in "calm submission" either. In fact, fluoridation opponents claim the violent crime rate is 56% HIGHER in fluoridated communities.

I'm not convinced fluoridation is effective in preventing tooth decay but I think the opponents overstate the dangers. They need to actually prove the claims and not depend on old quotes or depend on conflicting arguments. I don't think fluoride should be added to water that it isn't already but I don't think we need to worry much about it if we do drink some with fluoride.
Reply:so is cigarretes and alcohol
Reply:In the mid 1900's, dentists believed that ingested fluoride incorporated into developing teeth to resist tooth decay. However, modern science proved that theory wrong. Fluoride incorporates into enamel by topical means alone.

Old time dentists also believed (some still do) fluoride was a nutrient and required for healthy teeth; but again science shows us that's wrong too.

Some say the amount of ingested fluoride that emerges from saliva to bathe teeth is the topical way fluoridation can reduce cavities. But the U.S. Centers For Disease Control tells us the amount of fluoride in saliva is way too low to have any beneficial effects.

Fluoridation is a failed concept that organized dentistry just isn't willing to part with.
