Why do most Americans have such poor dental ideas?

As an Englishman who has just retuned from a business trip to the USA, i feel i must raise this question.


Most Americans have hidious white teeth which are so straight and precise.It looks so awful, but the Americans seem to think it looks great.Talk about 80s fashion and style, most Americans think this look a new thing.Most English people have gone from that 80s fashion disaster and have moved on.


Come on Americans catch up.

Why do most Americans have such poor dental ideas?

Reply:i agree. The thing is those sparkly whites do not even look natural. I remember when I had my teeth made the dentist told me not to go bone white because it doesn't look natural or even real. I listened and am very glad I did. Too many of us are obsessed with fake perfection.

What a lot of people forget, is that America is a foreign country, they just happen to speak a similar language.

how come? I think that should be how the teeth should look like, not the way the Japanese teeth looks. The most terrible, I presume.


I think 95 percent of Japanese have awful teeth.

Reply:You forgot to mention that most Americans may have straight teeth BUT HIDIOUSLY OBESE bodies. They die young of heart disease and cancer but have nice looking teeth. Americans are superficial fools. It goes with the lack of education.

Reply:Not all Americans do! I watched a documentary last night "The real Mrs Doubfire" about a kidnapping in Tenesse and most of them had teeth missing!





Saying that my teeth are naturally very light yellow, I drink tea and coffee and used to smoke which doesnt help and have always wanted whiter teeth!
Reply:Dude, if we believe all your previous questions, you have been 'just' returning from trips to the US for the last couple of years.
Reply:I don't mind if they are straight or not, but what really frustrates me is when they have to have porcelain verniers, and bleach them white. Then you see all of these people with bright white (totally fake) mouths, botoxed faces that they can't move, perfectly styled hair that they try to not move, plastic surgery, and fake nails. Some Americans have the wrong priorities. They do also tend to follow fashions late as you mentioned and claim it to be something cool, hip, and new.

Reply:I agree! They also have a disgusting lack of body odor, facial warts and chancre sores. The lack of oily hair is also deplorable, as well as not picking their noses in public. I think it's all due to the humiliation of having been cast adrift by the English 200+ years ago. Rule Britannia!!





Anna P - didn't your country used to be great? That was a long time ago, though, wasn't it? What happened? We Americans are very sorry if you feel like dwarves next to us. I think we'll stay up here, though.
Reply:Hey Snaggletooth. I'm sorry you find our teeth so displeasing. It really inhibits us from being good pirates. It's also why England is leading the way in all the best new zombie movies. Over here, we have these things called toothbrushes.

Could it be that our water supply is a little fresher than that of other places....America is still sparsely settled ....for ex: India is 1/3 the size of the U.S. and yet has over 3 times the population..... there are still wide open spaces, and watersheds that are pure and clean.... maybe that counts for something ...





As a person travelling in Europe, I saw how old the settlements are ... I know how hard (expensive, actually) it is to upgrade a settled area


...so maybe it is that the drinking water available to the everyday man is not so pure ... on the other hand, do many Englishmen drink spring or pure waters, mineral water?





I don't know ...just a conjecture!!!
